What are we giving away:
Get ready for an incredible opportunity! In 2024, the Yum & Chill Scholarship Foundation is gearing up to award $1,000 per store to support your educational dreams. That’s right—over $16,000 in scholarship funds are up for grabs! Don’t miss your chance to be part of something big and take a step closer to your future.
Application and selection process:
• The application phase is open from July 8th, 2024 to 5:00 p.m. EST, August 12th , 2024.
• Notification period: Recipients will be notified on or about August 20th, 2024.
• The Yum & Chill Scholarship Foundation will administer funds to the selected winners’ higher educational institutes upon enrollment.
Tips to get you started:
Submit a video (2 minutes or less in length) that answers the following questions:
1. What’s Your Story?
– What ignites your passion and how are you actively pursuing it right now or planning to in the future?
2. Your Vision for a Better World:
– How do you intend to use your passion to make a difference in your community, country, or even the world?
3. Your Educational Journey:
– What’s your educational plan (be it a specific program, college, or certification) and how will it help you chase your passion and create a positive impact?
Once you’ve created your video, visit our website during the application period and click “Apply.” Follow the on-screen instructions to fill out your information and upload your video. For application help, email our scholarship management company at info@yumandchill.com

Program Overview FAQ:
Q: What is the Yum & Chill Scholarship?
A: This scholarship is for students(ages 16-26) who are passionate about creating a better future and making a positive impact on their community. This is not needs or achievement based; it is a passion-based scholarship program.
Q: When does the application open?
The application phase is open from July 8th, 2024 to 5:00 p.m. EST, August 12th , 2024.
A: When will recipients be notified?
Recipients will be announced on or about August 20th, 2024.
Q: Does it cost money to apply?
A: No, applications are free.
Q: How do I apply?
A: Submit an original video that tells us the story of your real, driving passion. It could be a short film, animation or just a simple testimonial. Your video must be a maximum of 2 minutes (minimum of 30 seconds in length) and must be no larger than 500 MB to ensure it’s easy to upload to the application.
Q: Do you accept mail-in submissions?
A: No, you must submit your application through the “Apply” link
My friend and I want to create a joint video—can we apply together?
A: No. Each applicant must submit their own application and video.
Q: I missed the deadline; can I still apply?
A: In order to be fair to all applicants, we do not accept applications submitted after the application deadline. Please be sure to start and submit your application early as to avoid missing the August 12th, 2024 deadline.
Submission Video FAQ:
What types of files can I submit?
A: Videos must be in English. Videos must be no larger than 500 MB, maximum two (2) minutes in length and minimum 30-seconds in length.
Q: I completed an application, but I want to change my video. Can I resubmit?
A: No, you will not be able to delete or edit your video after submitting your application. All video submissions are considered final.
Q: Are there rules about what can’t go in my video?
A: You may not include any obscenity, crude language, violence, derogatory language of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group, or anything of an inappropriate or illegal nature.
Q: Can I show other people in my video?
A: You may not include other people in your video without permission.
Q: Can I use music in my video?
A: You may not use music that is copyrighted and owned by a third party without permission. All music must be your original work or in the public domain.
HOW TO ENTER: Eligibility
Eligibility:
Employment Requirement:
– You must have been a Yum & Chill Restaurant Group employee between the ages of 16-26 for at least one year.
– The scholarship is forfeited if you leave the company.
Residency and Age:
– You must be a legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia.
– You must be between the ages of 16 and 25.
Educational Track:
– You must be on track to apply for accredited post-secondary educational programs (including accredited two- and four-year colleges, universities, vocational-technical, and trade schools) upon receiving a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
– You must specify the secondary education program, college, or certificate/degree option you wish to pursue and require funds for.
Parental Consent:
– If you are a minor, you must obtain written consent from a parent or legal guardian to participate.
Commitment:
– You must be willing to work with the Yum & Chill Scholarship Foundation Committee throughout the award process.
